puppy travel crate?
I will be flying to pick up my new choco lab pup, and bring her home. Can anyone suggest a good crate to carry her on with me? She will be sitting in coach with me, I already checked Delta restrictions. I was curious is anyone has flown with their pets and if you used one of those plastic crates, a mesh sided carrier, or if you can buy one of those purse looking ones that the dog can poke his head out and see whats going on. I just want to make it the safest and least stressful for my new little fur-baby! ha ha

(and anything that is cheap, but does the job? She will soon be too big for it, this is just to bring her home, she will have a bigger crate at house as we will be crate training her)

also your dog will not be in the cabin with you. she will be in the cargo area. so make sure you have blankets in there and a pillow and one of those hamster water things
The plastic crates are the best for travel, as they are sturdy, secure and the dog can "brace" itself better. The smaller, the better, as dogs feel more secure in a crate they can brace in to help deal with movement (they don’t like getting bumped around).
Also, I would HIGHLY suggest a rubber-bottomed bathmat for the bottom – it will help prevent the puppy from sliding around too much, and is an absorbent cushion. Just make sure they don’t chew it.
The plastic ones or the mesh one would be fine i wouldnt use the bag one because she will try jumping out, the one with sides and a door will keep her secure and they are cheap at walmart… how old is she? you could possibly get the small one ($12)or medium sized crate ($15)… i hope this was helpful!

I would go with the Sherpa Duffle bag type. You may also want to check into some DryFur Pads to fit. They will stay flat and under the puppy and absorb and DRY instantly. Puppies have very weak bladders and if she gets excited she will urinate and you will be very embarrassed carrying her off dripping urine. Puppy pad will NOT WORK they will just get bunch up in the back of the carrier and they DO NOT DRY instantly they take hours to dry.
